Application Am I eligible for the MBRS program? The MBRS Program supports Black, Hispanic, Native American, and Pacific Islander undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled at Rutgers on a full-time matriculated basis, and who maintain a B average or better. Do I need a special major? No, although most of the students accepted into the MBRS Program are science majors (such as Biology, Chemistry, or Psychology), while some are Nursing or Liberal Arts majors. How do I join the MBRS program? Click here to download an application (.pdf file), telephone Ms. Wendy Birbano at 973-353-5772 to request an application by mail, or visit the MBRS Program Office in Hill Hall, Room 404, on the Rutgers-Newark Campus. If you are not a Rutgers student, request a Rutgers application form in addition to the MBRS application. Admission to the MBRS Program depends upon the availability of openings, which can occur throughout the year. Your best chances for admission to the MBRS Program are in early summer, due to vacancies after May graduation. What will I need to complete the MBRS application?
What is the deadline and fee for the MBRS application? There is no application deadline or fee to apply to the MBRS Program, however there is an application fee if you applying to the University. |
